Easy Healthy Snacks to eat in the Summer
Hey Family, I know I been gone a while now but I’m back with some healthy snacks that you can easily make in your home for you, your friends and family.
One of my biggest downfalls is snacks, snacks and more junk. It’s so easy to go down the street to the store and buy chips, suckers, little cakes and whatever else they have available but I’m really pushing myself and my family to eat healthier. Lately I have been on the search to find some great, easy and simple alternatives that will satisfy my sweet tooth or any salty cravings.
Below you will find some surprising natural alternatives to the very unhealthy snacks most people consume more than they should. I hope you all enjoy.
Gluten Free Nut Crackers
OMG! I was so happy when I found this recipe and more excited when I learned how easy it was to make. You can eat these things with dip, fruits and veggies. This is right up my alley (whatever that means), it’s super healthy and gluten free and did I mention it was easy to make?
Natural Fruit Roll Ups
When I was a child I used to tear these things up faithfully! They were so yummy and delicious and of course I want my children to enjoy something sweet and fruity, that’s why I was so excited to find a natural alternative. I mean who knew you could puree your fruit, dry it out and then roll it up to get the same results? I cannot wait to make these, I may have to make a whole bunch because I know it will be a hit with my husband more than the kids…lol!
Yummy, Yummy Yummy! Dried strawberries reminds me of gummy candy. These will definitely keep me out of the candy store. All you need is strawberries and an oven and you are good to go. Another easy dried fruit snack that is still healthy and yummy all in one.
Fruit and Yogurt Parfait
So simple and delicious that I seemed to have forgot that I could make this at home instead of going to Mickey D’s. An easy combination of fruit, yogurt and some granola or nuts if you like, mixed together with a pretty name and you are good to go. Chillax in the summer at the park with one of these healthy alternatives and enjoy the scenery. Your kids will not complain about this one for sure.
You can never go wrong with a trail mix. Take a bag with your favorite nuts, dried berries or fruit, pretzels and crackers, then shake it up and run out the door. A great snack to throw in your children’s lunch box and its no mess so you can make it on the run.
Other Healthy Snacks include:

The greatest thing about making healthy snacks is that they are great activities to include my little tribe and they taste great. You can kill two birds with one stone with a craft and snack time which makes the kids really enjoy their healthy snacks that much more.
